How do vehicle insurance companies determine who is at reprimand?
I was involved in an luck last weekend, there be cars parked down both sides of the road. As both myself and the other party tried to pass respectively other the cars scraped against each other. I have contacted my insurance company. They said it nouns like 50/50, however cars are not allowed to park on the side of the road the other event was on as there are double ashen lines but on the side i was on cars are allowed to park. My partner thinks this make him at fault as the 'obstruction' was on the other partys side? The sabotage to both cars is minimal, mainly scratches but it seem worse on the other partys car. How is it decided/proven who is at fault? The other shindig was very breakneck to imply it was my shortcoming at the scene. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks

if the damage is minimal, just dont fix it and nobody's at failure and nobody pays for it. Source(s): cost effective pro tips
well u let the insurance company amount it out....it the other car was on the wan lines and u were within ur side afterwards they are at fault but will b impossible to prove.......
as for the cars parked on the side of the road unless u took down license numbers then nil u can do.....if u did take to plate numbers u might can have them charged beside causing the accident....
but most promising it's going to b a equal fault accident.... so expect a insurance increase ...pious luck
In most cases the police report is the decide factor, if no one was cited next it is up to the insurance companies. Usually each would pay for within own insured. It doesn't matter what the other driver say's, if you were not at blame on police report consequently let the insurance take strictness of it.
