How difficult is it for a different independent insurance agent to receive an appointment frm Progressive Insurance?

I'm in the process of starting a new independent insurance agency and realize I can be in motion through a broker at the cost of a portion of my commissions, I was told on this board in days gone by that Progressive might be a good first company to contact for selling Auto.

Does anyone know how difficult they are with clean appointments?

Progressive is the absolute easiest insurance company to get appointed beside - they have great agent support, and no minimum amounts, and poor loss ratios won't organize them to cancel your contract.

As long as you have a written business plan and a license, and E&O coverage surrounded by place, they'll appoint you. You don't even need great credit with them.
I owned an independent agency for 20 years and it be my experience that they appointed anybody that asked..
