A interrogate nearly Progressive Direct insurance?
I switched insurance this past October to Progressive Direct. It was in the region of $100 per year cheaper than the insurance company I had been next to for the past 20 years or so. The 6 month premium was around $650. I have 2 accidents - neither chargeable and my first in 25 years or so. The first, I be hit by an elderly woman who admitted fault (and be verified by the police) the second was when a deer jumped out and smashed into the driver's door.
Well, I get my premium notice yesterday and I am in shock. $2031 for 6 months? $4062 per year? There are no traffic tickets and I hold good credit. I just can't numeral this out. Is Progressive known for this?
I'd appreciate any input . Thanks!

yep they sure are! when you got a quote they did not run your mvr or clue and probably not your credit. consequently when you took out the policy they ran them. they may be seeing your accident and charging points for it. Your credit may not be putting you within their best tier. call Progressive and ask them why its so high. if its due to the calamity being charged for, you just call for to provide a police report, or something from your last company showing it a not at fault stroke of luck. if its due to your credit, theres not a lot you can do. Call an independent agent and get some quotes. Oh yeah, dont tolerate Progressive bully you by telling you that you CAN'T cancel your policy (also certain fort his). You CAN but it WILL be short rated, meaning you'll necessarily pay a penalty, which you would below any auto policy. Source(s): Agent
ALL insurance companies are known for this. even if you were still beside your long-time insurer, you would find your premiums have sky-rocketed.
