Answers: This is a double edged sword. Online is definitely cheaper, but the companies that you can capture online are "nonstandard" companies which mean that while you get a cheaper initial rate, they are going to surcharge the heck out of you if you bring back even one violation. Like progressive and Geico lure you in beside low initial rates. It can get costly really fast beside them. I think your best bet for getting a good coverage at a clothed rate would be to check out an independent agent ( those are agents that write for different companies and not just one exclusively)
