However, I know that the perscription has to be relased by the doctor who last perform an exam. I was reading The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act and it said the time that a perscription is valid varies from state to state. Does anyone know how long a perscription is pious in PA? I can't find it and mine is over 1 yr.

(a) .—A contact lens prescription shall expire—
(1) on the date specified by the law of the State within which
the prescription was written, if that date is one year or more
after the issue date of the prescription;

prescription if such State canon specifies no date or a date that
is less than one year after the issue date of the prescription;
(3) notwithstanding paragraphs (1) and (2), on the date
specified by the prescriber, if that date is base on the medical judgment of the prescribed.

I believe it's one year. I'm an optician contained by California but i have a Friend who works in Pennsylvania. From some of the discussions we've have I think it's 1 year.
Why don't you budge back to the eye doctor that gave you your prescription and see if he will furnish you another copy of it. Or, maybe he will think he requests to check your eyes again. That way you don't have to verbs about what the laws say.
If you are on a limited income; maybe if you explain it to him, he will contribute you a little break about the pay-out. Be humble and grateful; and maybe he will help you.
