I enjoy a 2006 Honda Civic & the motor blew! Will Insurance cover that?
I was driving down the highway and my car started smokin' and afterwards I pulled over and the motor blew! Its way too new to in recent times go get a unsullied car because I still owe 18 grand! BUT it does not own a warrenty becuae it has 47,000 miles and my warrenty was 3yr/36,00 miles. SO, will my insurance cover it? do most insurance companys wage for that if you pay your deductible on it?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. No, your sports car insurance policy does not cover maintenance/mechanical problems unless you have a specific policy to take the place of a warranty.
Everybody is correct that insurance does not cover mechanical failure, but you need to determine what caused the engine to blow. If it's relateover the moon collision with debris or something of that sort, you may hold coverage.
For example, I have a client who has a 3 year outdated vehicle and his engine seized up while he was driving. He had the vehicle inspected and it turned out that something have jarred his oil pan loose which have caused all the grease to drain and his pistons seized. Because the damage was if truth be told caused by collision with some sort of driftwood, we covered it under his collision coverage and replaced his entire engine.
Have you vehicle inspected and determine what caused the engine to blow and consequently proceed accordingly. Source(s): Agent
Nope, it's not covered under insurance. If you forgot to put grease in the car, it's not covered underneath the warranty, either.
Not probable to be covered, sounds like you are going to have to reimburse for a new engine, not to worry though (not too much anyway) unless it's an si these motors are not that expensive, I'm guessing it have an R18A1 and you can find a block for those for around $600-800 or just get it rebuild. oh and umm... check your fluids at least weekly if not on a daily basis, only takes a minute. virtuous luck, hope it all goes okay
How on earth did this happen? Honda's are excellent vehicle.
Did you get the oil changed regularly?
Insurance is for collisions, I don't have a sneaking suspicion that they will cover your engine.
Sorry, but power-driven problems are usually not covered under your insurance (that's why they have extended warranties). Car insurance covers damages, etc. arising from an catastrophe.
Insurance only covers repairs due to collisions or accident. They don't cover maintenance issues unless you have a special rider policy, which is massively rare.
You should certainly ask your insurance provider if they will give a hand with the expense, but I suspect the answer would be no. I suggest you go to the dealership where on earth you bought the car and ask for a major discount on the repairs because the saloon is so new. However, don't be suprised if they say no.
No, auto insurance does not cover mechanical failures.
