Motor insurance claim against me.?

I was driving to work and it had be snowing, I was moving slowly probably only going on for 20-30mph. I was traveling on a dual carriageway (motorway) and I was within the fast lane/overtaking lane.
I was overtaking a black cab traveling slightly slower than my vehicle, both lanes were covered within snow.

I began to lose control of my vehicle and it veered towards the medium barrier, I adjusted to compensate and clipped the reverse of the taxi.
By the time I hit the taxi I would enjoy slowed to less than 10mph.

We both pulled up and got out. I checked both vehicle for damage, luckily I had individual hit the hub cap and it had be damaged but was still attached to the helm, there was no ruin to my car. We exchanged details and went on our ways.
And that be the last I heard of it. Until immediately...
I received a letter detailing the incident which states the taxi driver sustained injuries to the d¨Ścolletage and back as a result of the collision.

What do I do?
(I don't believe for a second he is injured)
What will this cost me in expressions of insurance renewals and anything else? I have about 7 or eight years verbs insurance.
How can I help my case?
Should I sprawl and say he drove into me? Or state anything else? I don't want to do this but he is clearly taking the proverbial.

An additional examine.
I actually made a claim when my car be stolen just before Christmas will this affect anything?
ie making my subsequent renewal massive?
Answers:
One thing for certain, verbs will not change a thing. Speaking truth is other the best decision, maybe not particlarly shifting the end results, but how it effects your self evaluation, something you cannot hide from, your conscious. Be honest, state the incident as it happen, offer your observation of the gentlemans conditionafter what could be defined as "bumped" into. Insurance companies don't want to strain that claim either, their on your side. The other question, ask your insurance rep, they will bequeath an honest answer . blessings
You should have call the police and have them file a report; it would be a great help at this time. Visit your insurance agent and explain exactly what happen and let them handle it. Whiplash injuries to the d¨Ścolletage and back are difficult to prove or disprove but......it can be done. Get the taxi driver's address, pocket a camcorder, and park so you can see what he does when he isn't working. If he is working, that's a good sign he isn't injured, so make pictures of that also. If he plays golf, wash the car, mows the lawn, lift a child, carries bags of groceries, jog, or anything to arouse your suspicion, record it. You can do the same next to a camera phone.

Your insurance carrier should assist you in paying your claim up to the amount you are insured for.

I need you all the best.
