Hi, is near any method I can find out the bazaar share for the UK Motor Insurance industry?
Answers: Not easily, AM Best (and S&P I think) run a database of all UK insurance companies which they flog. But even with that data, unless you know which companies are chunk of the same group, you can get some totally misleading answers.
If you want to know the market share for a particular company, you could get hold of close(ish) by downloading the whole market notes from the ABI website, going to the company website and taking their premium figure as a % of the market full. The ABI only gives Net Written Premium (the great would be gross) but it should still give you a rough idea.
