Can a parent withold medical insurance from their child?

I am a seventeen-year-old girl who was kicked out of my house when I was 16. I own been living alone since then and am immediately six months away from turning 18. I am not emancipated because of the lengthy process and cost of an attorney. I recently come under the need of medical attention, but my single-parent mother withheld the Medicare surrounded by my name from me. Is this legal? Is at hand any way I can obtain my medical insurance?
Answers:
Your mom is breaking the statute!! Call the cops on her if she doesnt hand it over to you. It doesnt matter that your not home anymore, your still underneath 18 and technically a minor, therefore your mom is still responsible for you.

Call social security too although im sure if you phone call the cops and they have a talk near her, she wont give any probs handing over the insurance. what your mom is doing is completely petty and she should be ashamed of herself.

no offense, but what shes doing is illegal and morally wrong- big time.

good luck
