Can you recieve medical insurance beside a irs taxpayer christening number?
Answers: There's no law against it, but for welfare insurance or private policies, I don't know of anyone who will insure you, lacking your SS number. You need to be here legally, first, and that SS number is proof you're here reasonably. Illegals can get that irs taxpayer id number and even wages taxes. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
for a long time, i worked with applications and underwrite and a LOT of people would not fill surrounded by their ssn on their app.. that does not and did not prevent them from being underwritten and approved/denied. most companies only require that you are a resident of the state you are living surrounded by. i am talking independent insurance by the way..
next to group insurance, your employer would obviously need your ssn and as a consequence by default, you would give it to the insurer, so that wouldnt really work i would envision. Source(s): works in insurance
FIRST GET A JOB
Yeah, well, you can in Oregon.
And the take a job thing. Get a clue, ***. I'm too sick to work. Did you ever come up with about that? If it wasn't for state insurance, I would probably dead because I can't afford my oncologist and my bi-weekly chemo treatments.
With Group insurance yes.
With individual insurance it depends on the company, some companies require you to be in the us for at least 12 months and own a green card or visa. With Anthem Blue Cross (at least in MD, VA, DC) they don't require the 12 months residency or the SSN a due id is good adequate. If you are in the US less than 3 months you will want to pay for a special medical exam at the doctor of your choice.
Contact a health insurance broker they can waddle you through the process and the price is the same whether you use a broker or call the insurer direct. With a broker they can abet you find the best company for your situation.
Try searching yellowpages.com for health brokers contained by your area. Source(s): Independent Broker 9 years
