What is the best medical insurance for already pregnant woman?

I have to purchase my own health insurance because I gone my job recently one and only to discover that my "small group" aka my employer doesn't cover COBRA, when you leave voluntarily.
At the time we had a makeshift HR dept. so I can't really blame them for not knowing...anyway , immediately I have to seek out my own insurance and I want to know what is the best plan out nearby since I am coming out of pocket.
I can't have OB care until I go and get this. Please don't judge me I was a working executive assistant for a small company and arranged to leave to pursue my dreams and get out of the rut of a comfortable work without a future!
Help, thank you!

No individual form insurance policy will accept onto coverage someone that is already pregnant BUT it sounds close to you may be eligible for a guaranteed issue HIPAA health insurance plan.

Since your company did not offer you COBRA later you may be eligible for this HIPAA health insurance plan that will cover your pre-existing conditions by law (pregnancy).

There are 6 criteria that one must come upon in order to be eligible for a HIPAA plan and oodles agents do not even understand them clearly. Be sure and speak with someone i.e. familiar with the law in your state and that can review your personal situation.

Here is some more information on HIPAA: Source(s): http://www.healthquote360.com/Individual…
Sorry to update you this but no individual medical insurance will pick up someone who is currently pregnant.

Your best bet is trying to find a job with group coverage until after the toddler is born.

The next thing you can do is check your states medicaid program, for example within VA if you make less than $25,900 you would qualify.

As a second resort you can also get a maternity card that get you discounted maternity care.

No private policy is going to cover a pre-existing pregnancy. Likely, they won't give you ANY munificent of policy when you're pregnant.

Your only hope is Medicaid, under your state children's strength insurance program. It will cover ONLY the pregnancy related stuff. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
I'm sure if you look up medical insurance online. They would own plenty of options for pregnant women. You have to follow your dreams.Better than man at a job where you abhorrence or feel stuck.
i would think adjectives insurance companies will consider the pregancy a pre existing condition try welfare for the pregancy and get real insurance afterwards
The issue is much bigger than just covering the pregnancy. Most insurance policies will not cover ANY preexisting condition. There is much that I can't advocate you on with this, because any reputable insurance company OR agent would not sell you insurance short a personal interview. This is especially true with health insurance. But, what I would do is google search out for "individual health insurance". There are some fine companies out there that DO provide that. Blue Cross Blue Shield is definitely an option. You may be able to piece together some indemnity policies (reimburse you for already-paid expenses) to minimize your out of pocket. But, I truly infer that at least for this situation, you would be well advise to try for Medicaid in your state. Good Luck!

I wish you the best of luck finding an insurance company that will pick you up after you are pregnant. None that I own ever worked with would do that, and I worked with them for 20 years. You may call a halt up having to pay for this pregnancy out of pocket. If you are single and on the dole, you can try to get Medicade.
