Is becoming a medical doctor worth it financially given the cost of med conservatory & malpractice insurance?
Obviously, there are other reasons to be a doctor, such as the merriment of helping people, an interest in science, as capably as enjoying the respect of the profession and the social prestige. I know that an elite few, such as surgeons and other specialists do moderately well.
But what about the "average M.D." (not necessarily a broad practioner). I have an aunt who practices internal medicine and is the mother of two: after private arts school for her kids, malpractice insurance, and student loans (she has been a doctor for over 15 years) she doesn't seem to be to be doing that great financially. Her work hours are horrible. Oh, she graduated from Brown University medical school. Just what percentage of a physician's income go
to malpractice insurance? It seems the relatively higher earnings she makes goes to pay cheque for these things. Is my impression accurate?

.......It is a lot of time and like mad of money. Is
it worth it? I don't know. I spent four years
not getting a degree, and figure the money
waisted. But I have no student loans. Part
was GI bill (navy) and part from work. I terminated
up as a weldor and a machinest. It takes a
minimum of twelve years to become a doctor.
Do you have a underwriter? The average MD spends
about twenty years paying off the student loans.
The income is elevated, but the outgo also high.
You may make more money surrounded by less time to
become a toolmaker! Some truck drivers make
really upright money (it's hard on the home life!)
There are several forms of engineering that
clear well. Anything environment or energy hold
a good future.
.......Talk to some doctors in the order of it. Make an
appointment and pay the bill, Even at a hundred
dollars a visit, It could let go you thousands. They
may also have suggestions, and other information,
that you might use.
