For culture who hold or hold have pet medical insurance: Who is/was your mover?
Is it worth the cost of the premiums? Does/did your company pay claims promptly?
Answers:
I used to insure with Animal Friends, but I reckon they're a UK-only provider: https://www.animalfriends.co.uk/neworder…
They've always been massively good to me; paid up promptly and be fantastic at arranging things directly with vets and spcialists if requisite. I don't have insurance any longer, because with five dogs I've found it's more viable for me to keep hold of a savings account and a credit card than wages for five seperate policies.
Worth the premiums? I reasoned that the peace of mind insurance gave me was worth the money. It adjectives depends how many dogs you have, how much money you can liberate up independently and how often you expect your pet to become sick - for breeds with a soaring risk of contracting breed-prone conditions I'd say it's certainly worth it, especially if you know you wouldn't know how to afford large sums of money for treatment were the without warning to happen. A friend of mine has two Pugs who routinely want to go to the vet for recurring eye problems and respiratory problems - she insures next to Pet Plan, sings their praises and knows she couldn't cope with the finances short her insurance: http://www.gopetplan.com/
Golly..........I'm thinking of getting insurance, and don't have an answer, however, I'm so interested in audible range the sponses. Thank you for posting the question!! Source(s): Owner of golden retrievers
I definitely judge Pet Insurance is worth it!
I got my dog Pet Plan pet insurance, and it is amazing. I have 0% coinsurance and a $50 deductible. They even cover heritable conditions like hip dysplasia, which most other insurance companies dont cover. They also cover each condition for vivacity, with no limit prompt or cost. Other insurance companies will only cover a specific condition up to a certain dollar amount.
My puppy is one and only 9 months old and she just have a Mast Cell Tumor (Cancer) removed. The biopsy and tumor removal surgery has cost almost $1,000 so far, and ALL but my deductible was covered. So i singular paid $50! We do not know yet if she will inevitability Chemo, but that will also be covered.
She has also been surrounded by the ER for eating gum, and that too was 100% covered aside from my deductible.
I really approaching PetPlan because they are the only company that gives you the alternative to choose your coinsurance and deductible. You pick what % of the treatment you are responsible for and the deductible you pay for each incident.
I enjoy the the Gold Plan (the best one) and it is $34 a month. Other plans are cheaper. The Gold plan also pays for Boarding and Kennel Fees, Advertising and Rewards if your dog goes missing, the price you paid for the dog if it does not return, the price of the dog if he/she must be put down or dies due to virus or injury, and travel expenses that cannot be reimbursed if you must cancel due to your animals illness or injury. Claims are alse reimbursed inside 2 weeks (usually faster)
I love Petplan and they are sooo helpful! My dog also has chronic ear infections and they salary for every visit and all the medication!
So, if you enjoy petplan and your dog gets hurt or sick, they will cover it. And if you need to progress to an after hours ER vet clinic, they will also pay for this if it is to save your dogs existence. If it is not life threatening, they will pay 70% (because you could enjoy went to your regular vet).
Overall its great! I chose it after months of research and talking to vet.
At the vet clinic I work at-- We recommend using VPI or Pets Best. I haven't hear much of the second, but nothing but good things roughly VPI. Each one have different premiums/plans.
GOOD LUCK!!
