My soon to be husband will be moving here from the US, the catch is he takes meds for depression can he take medical coverage here before he comes a resident?
Answers:
Your husband will need travel insurance to cover him contained by Canada until he is eligible for provincial healthcare.

He is eligible after a certain time following the date of arrival as a lasting resident with a visa. The time depends on the province.

In any case, medication are not usually covered by provincial healthcare. Source(s): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/p…
You mean can he qualify for medicare? I'm not sure medicare covers drugs close to these. He'd have to have a drug plan.

Once he marry you, he can apply for Canadian residency. Once he obtains that, he can apply for medicare.
