Yes they enjoy the right to do that because they are for profit the same goes for hospitals. If you dance to a not for profit hospital they can not refuse you treatment.
All medical practices in our time have posted in frequent places, "payment is required in finance of treatment." They most certainly do have the right to reject to treat anyone, whether you owe them money or not. Restaurants have the right of refusing service to inhabitants they consider not acceptable in their place of business (no shoes - no shirt - no service, etc.). Doctors are no smaller number important than the restaurants. Talk to them about a clearing plan. They won't refuse to accept a sound payment, and I don't mean $1 a month. I'm paying $10 a month, but I've never missed a compensation in 2 years and won't, unless I die, in which defence, the debt is moot.

If you have a serious problem, you would probably require emergency service, in which covering you would be sent to the nearest emergency room or emergency clinic.

You need to look at your priorities again. The doctors are within their rights, and you are complaining just about yours. Make them an offer then save it up. You'll find they'll work with you if YOU make the challenge.
Yes. You are not required to provide a service to someone who hasn't paid you, and likely won't retribution you.

Regardless of what type of service it is.

No, you cannot sue. They are not conscripted laborers! They are allowed to charge for services rendered!

I want you to come over and paint my house. I"m not going to pay you, and if you don't do it, I'm going to sue you.

That's effective what YOU are doing. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
An emergency room can't refuse to treat you, but a private practice Dr. office have every right to refuse treatment. They are under no necessity to treat anyone. They have the right to either adopt new patients or not. Hospitals & emergency rooms can't refuse, private practices, yes they can.
Is it right? No. Is it legal? Yes. They do not have to treat you if you hold an unpaid balance even if you have insurance. If near is an unpaid balance, it was applied to deductibles and co-pays that you are responsible to rate. The doctor has every right to refuse further services to you and you probably signed an agreement to repay for services when rendered unless some other arrangement was made. If you want to continue beside this doctor, make a payment arrangement next to him!
