Affordable medical/prescription insurance for a heart transplant receiver.?

I had a heart transplant 10 years ago, and I am looking for a more affordable insurance plan, currently I use Cigna, and they're running me over $400 a month, plus a $50 dollar fee per prescription I am on, which runs me another $250-300 dollars every three months. I only just recently graduated college, and am 24 years feeble, so my father's insurance at work no longer covers me. I'm not very familiar near insurance plans, but I would obviously need one that would adopt my pre-exsiting condition of a heart transplant, and have a prescription plan, cover doctor visits, emergency support and anything else people can recommend that would be important. Thanks so much!

Unfortunately, nearly adjectives individual insurance companies will decline someone with a heart transplant no matter how long it's be. There may be some in your area, though, and the easiest course to find them would be a local agent that works with all the core companies. The agent can contact the companies for you and do a pre-screen to see if any will accept you. There is no extra charge using an agent.

Your other option would be a available job with health benefits; they must adopt you. They may have a pre-existing condition waiting period (depending on your situation and state) but everything will be covered after the waiting length. Source(s): Independent Agent
