How can you find counseling / psychiatric help in need medical insurance surrounded by Akron, Ohio?
I have a friend who suffers from severe anxiety, but they don't have any insurance or much money to spend. What resources are in attendance for people without insurance within Akron, Ohio?
Answers:
I did a google search for sliding scale -- wages according to income rate; and found the following:
DaySpring Counseling
4367 State Rd.
Portage Lakes, OH 44319
330-645-9975
Fax: 330-645-1970
info(a)dayspring7.com
She might also go to the government SAMHSA site for Akron at http://mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/databases…
and give the name the locations there and see if they accept clients on a sliding size basis. Or you could call the outpatient clinics for her and offer her a list of those who do accept clients on a sliding scramble so all she would have to do is choose a place to dance.
Hope this helps.
Check into your count/community mental health department and see what is available. Also, various Churches have counseling available if you want to go that route. You can also hail as the department of human services and ask for a resource list. Here is a free clinic search for your nouns for medical clinics, perhaps they can provide mental health info as ably. Source(s): http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/Search…
Portage Path
Community Support Services
Catholic Charities
or send for the Akron Health Department for suggestions
