I'm not one of those stupid spammers out there, I use this site adjectives the time to help my employees find individual coverage for their spouses or dependents if it's too expensive for them to pay envelope for it through our plan (we pay for the employee but they hold to pay 100% of the cost to cover spouse and dependents, which can get pricey). Anyway, you'll enter your information and a detail of carriers and plans available is brought up immediately.
Be tremendously careful not to just look at prices. Click on the detail button so you can really see what the plan covers. For example, is the deductible elevated, does it cover office visits or singular catastrophic coverage, is it an HMO or PPO plan, etc.? If you want to cover doctors visits, and everything else like that, consequently make sure you are checking that it does cover all of that. You'll see carrier like Kaiser on there, Aetna, Anthem, etc. All the big companies are on here.
I dream up that's about all the warning about this site that I can think of. Just engender sure you are doing your homework before choosing a plan. I think there's also a number to give the name or you enter your information when you are choosing a plan and then a broker actually contacts you. Even though it's individual coverage, you still be in motion through a broker to get it. The broker can answer your questions too, so formulate sure you ask anything and everything you can think of!
Good luck! Source(s): HR/Benefits Specialist
