Cat medical insurance...is it cheap and is it legal?
Answers: It is NOT expensive. I pay 30 dollars a month for my cat and its already payed off since i concluded up paying 400$ for his Crystals in his urine. Go to VPI pet insurance http://www.petinsurance.com/index.aspx and get a free quote. Its great!
you hold to pay up front for the visits but they transport you checks back. Source(s): vet assistant/ vpi insurance owner
from what I've hear its not worth it, there is no one that regulates animal medical insurance so they are competent to deny claims on any basis that they want. you might want to read this, it gives some things to infer about before buying, and aid in choosing the right provider: http://cats.roughly.com/od/pethealthinsura…
If you get it right off the bat most general public think it's worth it. Now veterinary visits costs so much, it's great to take a little reimbursement for the necessary per annum things, not to mention the big time emergency stuff. Some jobs even offer discounted rates for pet insurance. Check beside your employer.
There are a few big insurance companies out there and I would check out what each ones offer and what would be best for your situation. Some cover yearly exams, vaccines, and thats it while others cover heartworm preventatives, dental cleanings and flea and tick control.
VPI is obviously the most celebrated. http://www.petinsurance.com/coverage/cat…
Then the ASPCA has one. http://www.aspcapetinsurance.com/
And a lot of clients at my practice hold started using Embrace, so you can check them out as well. http://www.embracepetinsurance.com/
All the websites offer free quotes.
