Can full-time college students bring social aid resembling food stamps, sector 8 apartment, medical insurance, etc?

I've never had any social aid or knew anyone who received them, but I do know of in no doubt terms likes welfare, part 8 housing, and food stamps. Are these social programs available to full-time college students? I am trying to find out what kind I help and aid I can receive while going to academy to complete my degree. I have already considered taking out student loans as economically as working, but I don't know what other forms of aid or assistance there are. Can anyone help me find a chronicle of all the things I can apply to please?
Answers:
No. College students are excluded from those types of aid. Apply for scholarships and grants first and later loans.
Laws vary by state, but as a general rule, unless you are a single mother (or father) college students can't use these social service programs... as a event of fact, college students are almost always singled out as def NOT mortal eligible for them.
Yes you can get food stamps!! I did because i wasn't working and I lived sour campus also my bf did too for years while in school and bad campus. You can't get section 8 though and you can't procure medicaid because you have to be pregnant or have children and be low income. You can go and get medical insurance through your college however but it may be costly. I went through college without medical insurance and merely use the on campus medical center and I was able to bill my bursar and salary later or with financial aid. You may want to start looking at scholarship, grants, work-study, or student loans to help out near finances. Start with your school, look at www.fastweb.com, and speak to your financial counselor. Good luck.
