Medical Insurance Question..Pregnant?
I lost my medical recently so my husband added me onto his last week, they said that I wont enjoy coverage until January 1, 2009. I am 4 weeks pregnant, his company does not know I am pregnant. Is pregnancy a pre-existing ?? Anyway I can get on the medical sooner if I tell them I am pregnant?
I'm suprised you've been approved without a physical. They almost other request an exam before they will start your coverage. Pregnancy is a pre-existitng conditon msot palces won't cover soem will but your co-pays will be extremly high. Try maternityadvantage.com
Im in impossible to tell apart boat. Group insurances can not consider pregnancy a pre existing. How ever there are different laws for different states. you should contact you doc billing department and parley to them they will help you and let you know the Standard for insurance companies. And if you cant find anything consequently you can get on a self pay program and afterwards you will get a discout from the doc for paying in mortgage. Good luck.
they wont accept you because pregnancy is pre existing condition
Yes it is a pre existing. I would continue to see the Doctor until your insurance coverage with him starts. I had to dawdle as well. I was 14 weeks when I first saw the Doctor. Longest loaf of my life! I always figure if I felt something wasnt right (bad cramping, bleeding) I would make a drop by to the ER.
"> Even if your husband's medical insurance doesn't donate you... you should be able to get free form insurance through the local health department. I'm not exactly sure of what the "standards" are, but all of the pregnant women I know, and myself, enjoy been able to obtain on with no problem.
