Does my husband own to provide medical insurance on his 28 year feeble disabled daughter?
California sent my husband a letter telling him to provide medical insurance on his daughter. She have been a recipient of SSDI since she be 18. We are not understanding the request. Is it an error?
Answers:
usuallt the state pays all the medical insureance on the child.
I would look deeper into it before he go and puts her on...he will pay an arm and a leg for the insurance check with ssdi 2
Your husband should contact the agency and speak about them that she is disabled and an adult -he should not have to provide for her vigour insurance and she qualifies for medicaid if she is disabled so it should not be an issue. He simply has to deny paying for her.I believe they need that in writing to qualify her.Maybe Calif Law is different but it sounds illogical/illegal to me.
she should receive medicaid like others.
You may try to google it,here http://www.InsuranceFreeTip.info/insurance-for-free.htm has some direct resource that might be positive.
Call Soc. Sec. and ask them why they sent the message.
Time to speak to an attorney. The state's tired of paying.
I don't conjecture he is able to cover her through any insurance. Every insurance company I have deal with only covers to age 21 and that's single if the child is in college full time.
If he is willing yes.
