What does pregnant foreigner next to no medical insurance do?
My sister-in-law is 7 months pregnant and was scheduled to return to her country of hometown (Turkey) this week, however, she had emergency false labor and now she is not permitted to leave the country until after giving birth. She CANNOT afford a birth here, is there any program that can assist her during an emergency birth?

Emergency Medicaid covers labor and delivery for pregnant women who do not own health insurance and who meet Medicaid income and asset restrictions. It does not cover prenatal care. However, if the pregnant woman has complications to her pregnancy or if the unborn little one is at risk, then Emergency Medicaid will cover the cost of care. Likewise, Emergency Medicaid will cover the cost of an abortion if the mother's natural life is in danger, but not if the abortion is an elected procedure.

Immigration status is NOT a factor for Emergency Medicaid eligibility. Any entity, regardless of legal immigrant status can be eligible for Emergency Medicaid if he/she meets income and asset confines.

What pregnant Mexicans do is cross the border to the USA when they are about to give birth, acquire an ambulance to a US hospital, and get free medical care. The US taxpayer pays the bill. Your sister contained by law will get free watchfulness through medicaid, the US taxpayer will pay for it all.

I have no idea what an "emergency false labor" is. I've never heard of such a entry. I HAVE had false labor. That meant I go to the hospital thinking I was in labor and the doctor chuckled and sent me support home. A false labor is a non-issue.
Your sister-in-law has nearly 3 months left within her pregnancy. I find it highly unlikely that she is being advise not to leave the country. NOBODY can disallow her going unless she's committed a criminal act.
The sooner she returns, the easier it's going to be -- otherwise, she'll be stuck here for months after the child is born getting passports, birth certficates and dealing near all the extra paperwork. Frankly, it appears that she (and you) are looking for an excuse so that she can stay. You wouldn't be the first and to be really blunt with you, immigration is onto it.

She goes home and her Government loves her so much, they will spend the .. at minimum.. $100,000 for her to hold that child. Then of course, if there are any troubles, she will be right nearby for her Government to show her how much they care.
That-a-way, the American Taxpayer won't have to take-home pay those fees. Isn't that wonderful!
