Does any one know anything in the region of working for MassMutual as a Financial Services Rep?
Is this a good career move? How do you generate leads/clients?? Is it one of those positions where on earth I have to sell Life Insurance to my loved ones and friends and cold call people at home at darkness?

Only you can answer whether this is a good career move.
Most first year agents do accurate to make $15-20,000. Some do better and some do worse. That's why the first year turn-over rate is over 80% in this business. It is a tough business. You must be prepared to work long hours, night and talk to everyone you meet. It take YEARS of work to build up your client base, so that you don't have to put within 60 - 80 hour work weeks.
Don't count on your family and friends to buy insurance from you. DON'T LIST YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHEN YOU INTERVIEW WITH THE COMPANY! If you decide not to transport the job or leave the company, that roll is part of the agency list. Source(s): worked contained by the insurance industry
