There are literally dozens of good, solid companies out there to choose from. Look for the chief rated company at the best price. Look for Standard and Poor's AAA ratings to be most secure.
There are also a myriad of vivacity insurance options including whole existence, universal, second to die, etc.
There is even the idea of premium financing, whereby an Institutional Funder will retribution premiums for a senior, sometimes for life. If you are looking to finance duration insurance for seniors, this is one area you need to explore. Source(s): http://www.life-senior-insurance.com
Colonial Penn
Here are the name of a few companies which I would recommend: (Not in any particular order)
Nationwide, State Farm, Monumental Life, New York Life. Met Life, American standard (AIG), American National, United American, American Fraternal.
My recommendation is that you purchase from a local agent, not off the internet, or TV.
Go see a local professional, brand, agent within your area, with one of the companies above, or see an independent agent. I'm sure you can gain some help. You might even want to start with your auto insurance agent. Source(s): Retired agent, 30 yrs.
If they are retired and of late looking for something to cover final expenses like a funeral, then I would recommend that they any just pay for it out of their money, save up for it, or purchase a small whole energy insurance policy.
If they are still in their 60's or 70's and are still working and saving and don't want to mess next to their retirement savings if something should happen past they retire then there are companies that will put up for sale them a short 10 or 15 year term policy.
If they are healthy afterwards you should be able to search around the internet and find them something. If they enjoy any health issues then you'll probably want to address to a really sharp independent agent that knows the underwriting guidelines of the different companies Source(s): My blog: http://gardenstatelifeinsurance.blogspot…
What state are they contained by? I specialize in Final Expense which is a permanent complete life policy for funeral expenses which may be what they need. email teresa_dean2001(a)yahoo.com if you are contained by the state of Iowa!
There are a little companies who insure seniors (in fact, most do). I would recommend different companies depending on their dates of birth, condition history, death benefit, and length of coverage (or purpose of insurance).
Some companies do "simplified underwriting" for amounts generally lower than $50000, but the convenience tend to have a slightly higher cost. Other companies do "full underwriting" for amounts unanimously higher than $50000. We need more information or you should settle with a few different brokers to get different opinion.
