Life insurance and social warranty checks?
OKay so my friends father passed away a lil while ago and he left her money and since he passed her family have been getting social security checks.... if she claims the money her father departed for her will it stop the checks?
Answers:
the money her father left her have nothing to do with social payment.Social security is not welfare. This man worked and paid into social shelter. He had life insurance which he remunerated for .Some people are so ready to soar on anything that lets them say or estimate someone is getting something for nothing.THIS IS NOT SOMETHING FOR NOTHING ! His life insurance policy have nothing at all to do next to the fact that his child or children are getting HIS social security.
The time insurance is totally separate from the social security.
What your friend does with the existence insurance is the friends right to spend, save or whatever.
But, your friend wishes to notify social security that the father died so they can stop payments. If not and I guarantee at some point they will find out, that the father died and YOUR friend will owe back EVERY PENNY they compensated out after he died. That money was paid to her father while living, since he remunerated into the system, and LEGALLY it stops when he dies.
good luck
If these are survivor's benefit checks that the family is receiving because he died, later no. Those checks are not affect by life insurance.
If these are regular social security checks payable to him, consequently they will stop when the government notices that the inherited has been forging his signature on them.
