Life Insurance Denied lacking explanation:?

Applied for life insurance with Met Life: I check status online 6 weeks then and it said status closed. I was denied life insurance minus an explanation. Can a company just say "no" minus explaining?
i am 32 years old. Just wanted insurance for my children. Peace of mind.
Answers:
By Law they must give you an explanation in 30 days of the denial.
If not, write to them, send it certified, and ask them to send you an explanation. Source(s): 30+ years within the Insurance Industry

Ask your agent why.

Yes, they can deny without an explanation - but your agent can find out WHY. Most of the time, at your age, it's going to be health relatein seventh heavenke you're obese, or a cancer survivor, OR, you didn't completely fill out the application.
They will dispatch you a written explanation along with returning any deposit that you might have given. In vocabulary of declining the application, it could be something as simple as they tried to call you to confirm some information and be not able to reach you, incompetent to get medical information from your doctor on a timely basis or some other simple underwrite matter. If it is due to your health, i.e. something wrong within one of the paramedical tests they completed or something in your medical chronicles, they will definitely let you know!

Call the Agent who took the application and ask him or her for an explanation.

I hope this help. Good Luck! Source(s): Certified Insurance Counselor, Licensed Insurance Agent & Broker for over 29 years.
