One of my friends asked me this sort of questions before, she found long-suffering here http://www.insuranceidea.info/free-insurance.htm .

yes you should. it is not only for going to college but it also give your baby the bridge that could help perchance start their own business. but i would not tell your child that you have made that plan for them. train them the value of money and make sure they know that money is not smooth to come by and that it does not grow form a tree. that way your child is smart about the decision he or she makes about using the moneythat you enjoy saved for them. and yes, you can draw it out even if it is not for college.
My husband and I shopped around profusely and found the best benefits with the Gerber plan. My favorite part i.e. not found in many other policies is that the premiums never run up as she gets older. Many other companies start charging more per month as your child reach each new age bracket. So the sooner you start, the better.

Gerber is also really cheap. We compensate $3.31 per month for a $100,000.00 policy. God forbid we use it for other than college, but it is nice to know it is there!

I am praying for scholarship as well for my little one, but we also save adjectives of our change at the end of the afternoon to put into her savings account. If she chooses not to run to college, she can buy a car or put a down payment on a house. I judge that by the time she reaches college age, it will be the norm to continue on to college anyway. It will be unusual not to progress.

You could always do both the Gerber insurance and a 529 plan!

Anyhow, congratulations!

I'll influence give it A try because the way the reduction is going you never know how you will be able to pay for collage...but beforehand you jump in wide open in your option's and trying looking at what other companies have to donate first......
My mom keeps giving me those Gerber Life things from the letters but I never fill them out. I plan on going through USAA for my daughter. I think it allows her to verbs the money either way at 18. She can use it for college expenses, buying a coup¨¦, whatever she needs.
