Public Liability Insurance?
I own a chocolate fountain rental company and my public liability insurance is due for renewal.
Does anyone know of any competitive quotes or companies?

If your current insurance is with a broker (can write with a little companies) then call him/her and share them you want to see at least 3 quotes on your renewal.. that you are getting quotes from other companies. That usually makes them work a bit harder... They smell blood in the water. when they ask you who you are getting quotes from..... your work is not to make their's easier.
in the meantime .... get hold of in touch with a couple of other companies... StateFarm (depending on what state you are in) like rental companies, as long as they don't involve you renting trucks, cars... etc.... Another place to check is with Nationwide...
an independent broker is probably going to be your best bet, but it never hurts to keep them honest by shopping them once surrounded by a while.

Get your fingers doing the walking and use internet. Use a recognised company not some new boy on the block where on earth payout may be difficult to obtain. Low premiums can result in a large amount of trouble in getting them to pay out!!
