18 yrs. behind the times, Car title, Car Liability insurance and Registration?
Umm..help?
I'm already 18 and I'm going to get my driver's license check this Oct. 19. However, I'm going to get the car i bought for roughly speaking $1000 from my friend. I'm going to train as a CNA "only" after i got my license and a car, because my training class is far away from our home. So, if adjectives else's good... and I passed the license road test and get my car the day back or after the test...What should I do to get my sports car registered and and insured for liability? should i get it insured first then register it? or acquire the car registration and "title" from my friend first? Coz he owned the car so am i going to gain the "Title" or the Registration?
Well, my mom told me that I will be paying for my car insurance after i got the motor (i don't even know if I can be on my mom's coverage) so please hope you'll be able to help me do what is first and later about this thing.

Ok first of adjectives when you buy the car your friend will have to sign bad on the title. You need to get the sports car registered in your name. Then I would win insurance on the vehicle. Most DMV's require insurance to be on the car before they issue the license plate. When you find the license plate you will get a printed registration. You should be able to be on your mothers coverage as a driver.
Get your driver's license first. Then buy the sports car, have it insured and, register it; don't forget to have it inspected as soon as you attain the registration done. Make sure your friend signs the Title over to you, because you'll need it when you go to register it. Good luck!
