Employers liability insurance, support needed?

The company I work for does not seem to have any insurance of any munificent. Is there anywhere I can find out for definite? I own asked to see our certs, but was told not to be nosey and that they aren't kept in the studio (we're a photographic company, we hold children in all hours of daylight everyday and would make sense to me to have public liability too). I thought by statute you had to display them, could anyone offer guidance?
Answers:
Public liability insurance is not a legal requirement, but employers liability is, and they are lawfully required to display the certificate. Very few businesses are exempt from this requirement. I can only contemplate of one reason for not having the qualification on display, and that is that they don't have the cover! You enjoy no legal right to check with Insurers. Your simply real option is to contact the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and describe them about your concerns, but your employers will probably realise that any investigation have been promoted by you.
Yes, you are right, they need to hold employers liability and public liability insurance and they have to display the certificate by law. here's a link
