i called my insurance company for million dollar hand gun liability and they dont even own such insurance. where do you get liability insurance for handgun usage?
Answers:
Call a local agent.
So I'm really trying to figure this out, I've never heard of liability insurance for a handgun owner. Why would you want such? What would be the purpose and when would you know how to file any type of claim?
A typical homeowners policy covers the liability arising from the use of a handgun. Obviously the policy would not cover an intentional feat or its use in a criminal act but trial liability for damages arising from an accident involving a firearm is covered.

If you have a homeowners policy ask your agent to show you where on earth your liability for an accidental injury to a third party arising from the correct use of a firearm is excluded. Source(s): 35 years insurance industry experience
From another insurance company. Or the NRA.
That requirement hasn't passed the legislature, and for good plea since there is no such policy available. Source(s): Independent Agent
