Business Insurance Liability and Medical?
I am interested in starting a business similar to a Temp agency and I am wondering what type of Business Insurance I need to bring back. (in Ontario Canada). There will not be any company vehicles.
Also I would like an explanation as to the costs of Medical Insurance for organization, in general what the costs for Company Medical insurance is and how it is calculated and salaried?
Are there any good companies to shop at? I be dealing with Great West Life insurance through my former job but I did not read between the lines how it worked or how it was paid excluding my small portion.
Answers:
You may want purchase some P&C insurance for your office. Your landlords insurance wouldn't cover theft or dog-eared equipment (ie: fire)
As for medical/health insurance, depends on if you are purchasing Group or Individual Insurance. Most offer Group plans, but only a few contribute individual plans. An Insurance Advisor can help determine your needs (Group vs Individual) and bestow you pricing on the various plans. There are many well brought-up companies including GWL, Manulife, Desjardins, Sun Life, Standard Life, etc etc
In Canada you might look at GreenShield.ca for Medical Coverage for Employees.
