Am I covered on my liability insurance?

I have public liability insurance as a market trader but am doing a charity stall at a council event that I own to have my own liability insurance for. Could anyone tell me if I would have need of a seperate insurance for the event or would I be able to use the liability insurance I have already?
Answers:
Probably not, you know what insurance companies are approaching. But clarify it with your insurance company- maybe acquire it confirmed in writing.
Call the person who wrote the policy and ask if the policy he wrote would such exposure. You may have to a Special Event Policy for the council event.
Yes, the agent that writes your "public liability" policy would be capable of tell you that.

Most of the time, for a commercial general liability policy, the insured location is described on the declaration page, or the GL rating page. It's highly possible that since the charity stall at a council event isn't the described operations, you would at the immensely least, need to "endorse" the policy to make the addition of the charity stall location and/or operations to have coverage lower than that policy.
