About Motorbike Insurance ... UK?

In February, I will be 17 and taking my CBT, which as you know allows me to ride a 125cc motorcycle, my dad who has a license and has have many bikes in his bygone would also like to ride, so we split the money. As i will only hold a Provisional license, will I be able to go lower than my Dad's full insurance? Or will i need separate insurance?

Yes you will bw able to be in motion on your Fathers insurance but you will have to be a named rider .
