Should I go and get Pet Insurance (UK) and if so which?

I had some for a few years then lket it lapse and simply trusted to my savings! any how now both dogs are aged and still healthy and I never had any purpose to claim (lucky me!) BUT I'm thinking about getting another puppy and I wondered what you thought? the pup will be pedigree/purebred and health checked etc. Should I obtain insurance and if so which one do you recommend? are they all the same?

Pet insurance is definitely worth it. I hold one cat insured with M&S and they paid out on a lb2250 claim. He have a bladder stone and needed surgery to remove it. The other cat I have insured with More Than. Shop around and and compare prices and benefits.
YES get insurance, this way you will never enjoy to put a price on your dogs health or even life.

deeply are different but remember you only get what you wages for. i pay a lot but it is worth it as it covers lots of illnesses that would not be once diagnosed beside such things as diabetes, then most insurances cancel cover of things resembling glucoma which is common with diabetes.

(Not all insurance is indistinguishable - far from it!)
yes you need pet insurance vets fees are awful, and nest egg accounts are great if your pet doesn't need vet help long adequate to save enough to cover the bill,ill-fatedly you never know when somethings going to happen,my puppy was seven months outdated when a large lump appeared on her head which turned out to be a tumour and 3 ops and profusely of medication and staying at vets came to lb3,500 luckily i have got pet insurance, you cant save that much contained by that amount of time.
Petplan is really good. More expensive than some of the others but good cover and they recompense up quickly and without any fuss.
petplan - its expensive but it covers your pet for anything - other plans are cheper, but after a year you have to pay more or your pet will not be covered for other things

similar to with petplan it covers - nail adjectives, broken legs, cuts, burns, pet gets lost, pet gets hurt doomed to failure, pet needs teeth done, pet has babys ECT ECT

we hold it for our 3 dogs and two rabbits. And people say, dont bring it, is so expensive but its the best and it's not that much cos its spred out over the months

http://www.petplan.co.uk/ here you go, have a look, they doing 12 months for 10 months, be you pay of only 10 months and win two months free
Please get insurance my Cavalier have to have a mri scan.Cost lb1200 !I am so glad i had insureance as this is just the begining of a very expensive journey. It probably costs smaller amount than the price of a take away meal, mine is lb17 per month.Good Luck
I would ask your vet as they tend to know which ones pay out and which ones are best, I have pet plan for my dog and my wife have pet plan for all her cats, they always take-home pay out promptly, pet insurances are different you have to read the policies carefully and bring in sure you are covered for what you need.
You get what you pay for next to pet insurance. Personally, I think it's a big con & prefer to keep my money within my bank account! I free lb20.00 a month and have done for a number of years. Up to in a minute I haven't had to use it, but it will provide a cushion if we do have a disaster.
It also depends on your vet - if they know you are insured, some will suggest adjectives sorts of fancy treatments.
My dog needed an op. which would have cost lb2, 500 at the local vet. teaching hospital. My vet did it for lb250 and the result is newly as successful.
we love www.healthy-pets.co.uk . They own 3 types and the payments are very reasonable. I muse they might even take on the older dogs too. We lately claimed for our cat and they have been brilliant. I feel it costs us about 11 pounds a month for 2 cats and a dog on the bronze cover.
Our local news station did an exposé on pet insurance and found that in sincerity you lose money this way. They do not cover all they claim to cover and you discharge more in premiums than you would spend on vet cost anyway. They said to just set up a positive account and put what you would pay surrounded by premiums into that.

I would definatley recommend getting insurance for adjectives your dogs, it could really put a dent in your savings if anything did come about. I've heard that More Than Insurance is quite honest. Hopefully you will never need it though.

Pet plan is really good. More expensive than some of the others but upright cover and they pay up quickly and minus any fuss.
hey, i would get insurance yes.. bring back like Tesco insurance, its cheaper and yes they all pretty much do equal thing.. its only going on for lb6 per animal per month so its worth it!
I seriously prefer a savings depiction dedicated to dog related expenses. I've hear several accounts of pet insurance not covering as much as pet owners expect them to. Pet owners rarely come out ahead anyway.
we use tesco for my dog it be lb6 a month but now its gone up to lb9 a month :(
