Do I involve insurance? (UK)?

I work in an office as an administrator but am going to be cleaning the department for extra money. Will I need any insurance to cover me for accidents, fire etc or can I do it short? Or because I'm an employee already, am I covered?

Thanks for any help you can make available!
Answers:
Your company will already have employee liability insurance, and you will already be covered, so don't verbs.
If you are an member of staff you will be covered... if you are doing it on a self-employed basis you will need further insurance.
The Company's insurance will cover you as long as you are decalringyour hours and are only in attendance during the shift taht they are paying you for.
You'll be covered by your existing employee insurance
You are already covered by the company. As long as you are doing this with their approval then you are covered. Source(s): Health and Safety Act 1974.
