I've lost my National Insurance card! (UK)?
My Mum accidently binned it and ive only had it for going on for 5 months (im 16) is there any way to find out my number or replace my card?
Any information you can afford me would very much be appreciated!

failing that, the Inland Revenue have a standard line on 08453021455 who can give more specific details if we've misunderstood you. but no-one over the phone will simply confer you your number, they can only request a new card. payment reasons

What do I do if I have lost my National Insurance number card?
Report it to your nearest DWP bureau, Social Security office in Northern Ireland or HM Revenue & Customs organization. If you want a replacement card you will need to complete an application form. Remember that you are only allowed one replacement.
(1) If you still have the communiqué that came with the card, you'll find the number on that communication.
(2) If you're employed and need It at work your employer should know they can fill In a form and trace It.
(3) If you stipulation It urgently you should 'phone your Job Centre Plus office (In 'phone book) and ask for an appointment to call In. They should describe you what they need as ID, and upon acceptance of that, they should know how to provide your number at their counter, and a form for a replacement card.
(4) If you can wait a couple of weeks, 'phone the NI Registration Helpline 0845 915 7006, M - F 8 - 5 (part of HMRC), who may mail you a memo with your number on and, If asked for, a form for a replacement card, If you pass their indemnity questions. NB They will not give the number over the 'phone.
(5) Generally speaking you can one and only get 2 NI cards, neither of which you legaly need as they're not forms of ID; they're personal reminders to you of your number, so save the number safe for your own records.
