Travel insurance surrounded by the UK?

My partner was born in England and holds an English passport. He moved to New Zealand give or take a few 10 years ago.

We are going to England in May for a month, and was in recent times wondering if we needed to get travel insurance for him whilst there? Or because he is English-born, is he automatically covered for medical etc, over within?

The NHS would not turn your boyfriend away, but unless he is still registered next to a GP here in the UK, he may well find that he get billed for the services he receives. The NHS will only supply medical aid, if your boyfriend be to have any other form of problem whilst you were here (theft of belongings, happenstance needing medical aid to get home such as the heavens ambulance services) he would not be covered in anyway. For your own piece of mind you both need travel insurance to cover for adjectives these, and other, possibilities.
