As a conservative, I am categorically against corporations holding monopolies on the markets. Obama mentioned in his speech on vigour care that in Alabama, one company have 90% market share. That is why I think the public selection is essential, because it is the only way to apply pressure on insurance companies to lower costs (besides breaking them up, which will be completely hard to do now).

I expect it's a big reason why Obama's health reform are so important. Big Business needs to be sent a message that it can't place profits above the best interests of the country.
There's zilch wrong with profit, but when 45,000+ people die every year because they are denied vigour care for whatever motivation, you know it's time for citizens to take their country back.
