Interesting, this an overall summery of links to analysis and other information regarding the matter - making facts that the reason why our insurance rates are so high is because of a monopoly.
The study shows that surrounded by many states, 1 or 2 insurance companies hold the entire market on the industry - and thus they can jack their rates up to doesn`t matter what they want for insane profit. Since there are no other competitors you either buy it, or you are **** out of luck.
As a conservative, I am categorically against corporations holding monopolies on the markets. This is fascism folks, new small private insurers can't surface because of the roomy corporations are taking over not just health safekeeping but everything else. Small time farmers go out of business every day and most of our agriculture is controlled by big corporations who splice surrounded by chemicals, poisons, and put fish, rat, possum whatever DNA into our food to make it grow faster and withstand harsher weather.
What are your opinion on this? I never even thought about the monopoly in robustness care until today, and now that I read roughly speaking it I believe this monopoly has a direct correlation to our high rates.
Yes. Once you cut through all of the hyperbole, the facts speak for themselves. I hope more y/a race will read this question.
The rates are lofty because people are using more and more health watchfulness services.
Most of the Drugs, procedures, and diagnostic tests we have immediately didn't exist a few years ago.

I think that's part of the pack of it. It's not the golden bullet, but it is a big part of the problem. Obama mentioned in his speech on vigour care that in Alabama, one company have 90% market share. That is why I think the public selection is essential, because it is the only way to apply pressure on insurance companies to lower costs (besides breaking them up, which will be completely hard to do now).
Partly. The health insurance cartels are exempt from federal anti-trust law, that are meant to stop price-fixing and monopolies in any other industry. There is little or no competition between insurers precisely because they can fix their prices the passageway they like.
They have society by the short and curlies and they know it.
You're also right about Agribusiness. They are forcing more and more small scale farmers out into the cold. Give it another decade, and they will be capable of hold not only your health thought, but your refrigerator hostage. It isn't big government that's the threat to individuals, it's Big Business who are going to be controlling much of your life.
I expect it's a big reason why Obama's health reform are so important. Big Business needs to be sent a message that it can't place profits above the best interests of the country.
There's zilch wrong with profit, but when 45,000+ people die every year because they are denied vigour care for whatever motivation, you know it's time for citizens to take their country back. When some a****** surrounded by an Armani suit and Gucci loafers gets to decide who's going to return with treatment and who's not, you no longer live in a democracy, you're on the road to Fascism. Far too few relations even know what Fascism means.
No one can blame Obama for the situation, (it's been years within the making), but he's left with cleaning up the mess, despite adjectives the lies from the health insurers through the Repugnicon Party.
