Getting a Permit surrounded by TX increases insurance rate?

hi. is anyone here from texas? i just want to know if insurance companies in TX really do increase your insurance rate once they are notify that your son or daughter has a permit to drive. AS if living here isnt already firm enough, lets top it past its sell-by date with this surprise.
Answers:
They only increase your rate if you put your son or daughter on the policy. If they are driving next they have to have insurance....that's the ruling in TX.
