Does have a child effect your home and auto insurance rates?

When are you supposed to tell the insurance company of the little guy's existence?
Answers:
I don't think it change the rates but your home insurance would be the only one that would need to know since within is an extra body in your home. I don't think your newborn will be driving the car right ;-)
In some cases, it does affect your rates. If you are under the age of 25 and own a child, some companies will rate you as if you are over the age of 25. There are statistics that prove that females under the age of 25 with a child own less tickets and accidents than those who don't own a child.

Check with your insurer.
You can compare how the insurance quotes would change, for example here - autoinsurance.bebto.com
When he or she starts driving...it should not affect your home insurance unless someone gives the kidlet a massive expensive gift that you need extra insurance for.
Nope, it doesn't effect the rates.
No the rates for home and auto insurance are not affected. Only difference would be in the vigour insurance if you have one.
Depends on the company. If you are beside Farmers insurance, we offer a new parent discount up to the child's age of 6 years ancient. Source(s): I am a Farmers Agent. 205-989-5857
