Will a "form belt violation" affect my insurance rates?

A cop pulled me over for speeding, but I started crying and instead of giving me a speeding ticket, he gave me a $25 ticket for a "seat belt violation". I be wearing my seat belt, I guess he just made that up to distribute me the smallest violation.

I am 18 and have never have any tickets or anything before. I have Geico insurance and my coup¨¦ is registered under my parents' name.

My sound out is... will this affect my insurance rates, and is there any way my parents can find out? Assuming I pay cheque it on time?

most states dont consider it a moving vandalism , same as geting a parking ticket . shouldnt make insurance go up
nope
Bad cop. No donut.
Don`t know where you live , but up here a form belt ticket is as bad as a speeding ticket. Fine + points and yes your rates go up, regardless of whether you settle up on time or not. Next time stop crying and live up to your mistake. If you live at home and your insurance is part of your parents plan , guess what ? They will find out

YOU WILL BE GIVEN BY THE POLICE A CHIT FOR PENALITY TO BE PAID AS A FINE.
It's a strike against you. Geico would lose too much face if a single form belt violation raised insurance rates.
Your parents could find out by checking online, but the ruin is not serious.
The cop probably caught you off guard and sympathized. If you were speeding carelessly, he would have to punish you.
Don't worry going on for your parents; if they're really strict, tell them it was a non-moving form belt violation, and that you won't do it again.
