I live within suburban Chicago area and in my mid 20s and feminine, and I am paying about $700 a year. I do not have the minimum endorsed insurance in Illinois because it doesn't cover enough. My guess is that it'll own to be over $1000. Go to an insurance agent and talk with them. If you can run through your parent's insurance, you'll get a discount. Source(s): IL resident
Go to progressive.com

They can give you quotes for other companies as well and roughly speaking they are the least expensive for young drivers. If you simply want liability insurance you will need to pay for the truck outright. Anything that you hold a loan on requires physical insurance as well.

Once you have have continuous insurance for at least a year and a good driving narrative I would shop around again because many other companies offer better discounts to drivers who enjoy been continuously insured than does Progressive, but Progressive is generally the best starter. Source(s): I work for PEMCO Insurance Company.
Well, i would go with a correct company not the cheapest because they may not give you a good rate or the policy itself. Go beside state farm, thats what i have. If you do fitting in school B or A honor roll you will bring back 22 % and state farm has a discount where on earth if you record where you drive and how various hours they give you a precentage off. Good Luck and drive not detrimental!
There's no "one size fits all" cheapest. But most companies won't even write a policy to a newly licensed driver.

There's no shortcut - you'll own to call around to see who's cheapest for you. HOWEVER. You're probably going to end up next to Progressive, Infinity, Geico, or Windsor, or your state assigned risk fund.
I think Geico and progressive are a good route, try this site

here you can get quotes from different companies so you can compare them.
Shop around, but expect to pay greatly of money.
If you are a boy, you'll get hosed anywhere you go. Expect to remuneration hundreds a month, just for liability.
