Will this ticket bring to the fore my insurances rates?

I got pulled over this morning for making a left turn where on earth there was a "no not here turn" sign posted. The ordinance number was 50 ( I live in Lawrence, KS) and the defilement was "posted no left turn". My fine be $80 + $52 in costs = a grand total of $130

Is this a non-moving contravention? I called the prosecutors office and they said that it should be. They said to bring within the ticket in a week or so and they can take it past its sell-by date my record without any extra costs. Is this true?

If I newly paid the fee and did not jump into the prosecutors office, would my insurances rates go up?

Thanks for your answers!

Your rates will progress up.*
Your rates are like the Jeffersons.

As it stand now you own a moving violation citation. You'll need to dance to court and request that the judge have you income a higher or different non moving violation to not bring an insurance raise. Source(s): Moving on up!
Moving Violation = insurance raise
Non Moving Violation = no insurance put on a pedestal
