Just get a ticket for an unlawful moved out turn. Will this lift up my insurance rates?

I got pulled over this morning for making a left turn where on earth there was a "no moved out turn" sign posted. The ordinance number was 50 ( I live in Lawrence, KS) and the despoliation was "posted no left turn". My fine be $80 + $52 in costs = a grand total of $130

Is this a non-moving contravention? I called the prosecutors office and they said that it should be. They said to bring surrounded by the ticket in a week or so and they can take it sour my record without any extra costs. Is this true?

If I freshly paid the fee and did not stir into the prosecutors office, would my insurance rates go up?

Thanks for your answers!

* I also hold never had a ticket/never been pulled over previously...if that makes any difference
Answers:
You were moving when you made the turn, it's a moving betrayal.

Yes it is very possible this will increase your rates, especially if you are under 25. You enjoy a choice: call your insurance company and ask, alerting them to the issue which will cause it to begin sooner, or just wait and see.
