1st Quote = worst insurance company ever, please see below...?
I'm trying to change the car on my insurance, they haven't picked up the phone for the closing 3 days, the website keeps crashing, they don't have an e-mail address, so i've cancelled the direct debit beside my bank for them. As there regulated by the FSA should i receive in contact with them and complain, as I'm not sufficiently expert to insure my car presently and I don't think thats celebration, Are they able to still take the money? and will I inccur extra charges by adjectives them off through the bank?
Answers:
yes they will try to take the monthly payments from your bank vindication if you agreed to pay that way and it will cost you if they can t capture the money, you ageed to pay for 1 year if you cancel sooner they will charge extra for respectively month used, try to finish the year with them, unless they have go bust in the last week..you should know how to ring them .. i see their webpage and phone number and address, so i would just keep trying and confer them some abuse when you get through .or phone into the office if you can . watch out for the older friendly bank charges.. good luck
wow thats awful, never hear of anyones as bad as that. i feel for you but sorry i cant give support to
They sound horrible as an insurance company but you need to find investigational insurance through another company before you stop paying them, otherwise the motor vehicle admin will fine you for an insurance lapse. Send your insurance company a certified letter stating you tried to achieve in touch with them on x date, and what you are trying to do, and at least you will have documented info to cover yourself down the road.
Yep, grasp in contact with the FSA. They'll hold more clout than you will on your own.
Cancelling your debit shouldn't incur penalties. All that should happen is they'll threaten to put an end to your cover if you don't pay up which they will do; that can reflect on adjectives insurance costs because all companies ask if you've ever had insurance cancelled or decline and if you answer yes premiums will rise accordingly.
Neither should they be able to purloin your money. If they request payment and the bank authorises it, the dune is liable to repay whatever amount has be removed from your account as they would have acted short your authorisation.
There is a possibility that the DSA would get in touch asking why your motor is not insured and threatening fines accordingly... you can get around that one by returning the SORN assertion. It does mean you can't use the car, but you wouldn't acquire fined just for having it this route.
Yes contact the FSA (Financial Services Authority) ASAP http://www.fsa.gov.uk
Sounds resembling a terrible insurance company, what are they called?
