Dentists are a tight group and have pretty much fixed the prices so it really does no good to shop around. I can guarantee that if you go to 5 other dentists you would get 5 different opinions more or less what needs to be done.
Ask your dentist how long [a couple hours] it will take to do the work. He won't convey you what his cost for the material or lab work is because it isn't much. He will give you some BS in the order of his high overhead and cost of equipment to run his office instead.
I worked for dentists for over 40 years and they don't want to a short time ago fix your teeth. They want to BS you and sell you high tech dentistry that really is expendable but helps to pay for their beamers, Mercedes and jags.
When you look at the fancy office most dentists are building today you realize they can't pay for them if they are just wadding teeth.
I put the dentist phone number right next to the used car salesman and the guy who desires to sell me vinyl siding for my brick house. The dentist is listed as The Marketing Specialist.
