Can someone please explain this strength insurance quote that I hold received.?
Its a PPO plan that costing me $69.48 monthly. Office Visit for Primary Doctor No charge after deductible. Office Visit for Specialist No charge after deductible. Coinsurance No charge after deductible. Annual Deductible Individual:$5,200. Does this mean for example if I go the doctor for a regular checkup and my bill comes to 85 dollars. Does it connote I pay the full cost of the bill?
Thanks!!
Answers:
Yes you have to wage 5,200 out of pocket first, before insurance kicks surrounded by and covers all additional charges. Seems approaching a lot, but if you are healthy and don't requirement to visit the doctor often, it is other. And (heaven forbid) you do get very sick or injured, your insurance will cover any new charges over 5,200 (and such bills can easily go into the tens to hundreds of thousands.)
Each year, you enjoy to pay the first $5,200 of medical costs. After that, the insurance company will pay the total thing. Seventy dollars is a really cheap insurance plan, so you're responsible for a lot of costs...
