Is insurance company contacted when vehicle is inspected, and is that middle-of-the-road? or is the card newly ussualy veiwed?
Answers: They just look at the card, I suspect though that you canceled the policy which is why your worried they'll call the insurance company.
No insurance company is not contacted, but if you don't have insurance they wan inspect your car state imperative.
The State inspectors usually ask for the insurance card to verify the auto's VIN; there is usually no contact between the station and the Insurance Company. That's because they have to enter the VIN within the machine and it is easier than dragging the machine out to the saloon or writing down the number from the VIN plate (which is to your benefit, since mistakes might otherwise occur).
